"Fighting It" The Movie
As filmmaker Jill Morley, (director of Stripped, writer of Fe-Monologues, and True Confessions of a Go-Go Girl) trains for the New York Golden Gloves, the biggest amateur boxing tournament in the world, she discovers the real fight is inside.
Fighting It is a feature-length, first person documentary that goes inside the world of female boxers to meet the women who are passionate about fighting hard. In portraying these women and the world of boxing, Fighting It sensitively captures the adversity the women face, and tells a larger story about abuse, trauma, sexism, and finally – healing.
The fact that such healing can take place in what many consider a violent sport is what makes these boxers’ journeys so unique and compelling.

I can't believe how quickly you got the new site up and running and there are comments on the front page! The trailer is awesome and it's great that it now has it's own place. Way to go Jill!

Dear Jill,
I am just so proud of you. Your courage and tenacity throughout the process of making this film "Fighting It" while at the same time discovering you had and were fighting Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) too has been so inspiring. You didn't run from PTSD as so many would, you looked it in the eye just like it must be like with a boxing opponent and you stood your ground. You learned about your new 'opponent', adjusted your attitude, your fight, your life, and your film while continuing "fighting it" internally and externally. I am honored to have gotten to know you through some of this process and have had the opportunity to be witness to your courageous battle both in the ring and out.
Having PTSD myself and running a PTSD_Awareness site at the same time, I know the battle is far from easy. To bravely take it a step beyond as you have in making this groundbreaking film "Fighting It" and sharing your challenging journey with the public for all to witness and [hopefully] learn from is remarkably admirable.
You have all my love, respect and support! Go Girl! Your a winner already, the way I see it!
You *ARE* Loved :)
Joanne
